Born in 1938 to a successful highway contractor, Fred Roberts., Sr. has been active in businesses and community affairs in Marion County since 1966 when he stepped in to help his family limestone mining operation in Lowell.
Fred Roberts, Sr. participates as his son, Fred Roberts, Jr., is admitted to the Florida Bar.
After selling that business in 1983, Fred began to focus on persona investments in real estate, citrus and other ventures. He has served as a director of numerous organizations and currently serves as a director of Gateway Bank of Central Florida and as the chairman of Roberts Real Estate., Inc.
Fred married Carolyn King in 1976. Carolyn Roberts formed Roberts Real Estate, Inc. in 1992 as is the owner and president of the firm. Together they have two sons, Fred Roberts, Jr. and John King Roberts.
